An annual Congress held for one week between August and October, each year in a different host country. This comprises of a business meeting, which elects officials and administers the affairs of the Association, a concentrated business study tour for the younger generation of garden centre employees, managers and directors, and an excellent social programme.

International Garden Centre Association Congress 2015

We look forward to welcoming you to the 57th International Garden Centre Congress to be held in Denmark from 9 to 14 August 2015.

This brilliant event gives you the opportunity to visit most of Denmark to see an interesting selection of 11 Danish garden centres, production nurseries and, not least, a wide variety of Danish products which we proudly recommend to our colleagues all over the world.

In addition, we will visit some of Denmark’s finest castle gardens, including the Baroque Garden at Frederiksborg Castle.  We will visit Aarhus to see The Old Town (open-air museum) and the Botanical Gardens with their large greenhouses – as well as Egeskov Castle and gardens; LEGOLAND; Formland UPgraded trade fair for the design community and much more besides.

The congress is based out of Odense, on the island of Funen in the centre of Denmark – also known as “Denmark’s Garden”.  Odense is the birthplace of fairy-tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, which will naturally influence the congress programme.

At the same time, we are fortunate that Odense’s annual Flower Festival will coincide with the congress.  The Flower Festival is attended by more than 200,000 visitors, which has made it an international event for both tourists and professionals.
