Day 3: South Africa

We will be visiting three garden centres in sunny South Africa: Concrete & Garden Creations, Garden Pavilion Eckards and Greener Tidings.

Concrete & Garden Creations

Concrete & Garden Creations is situated in Mbombela, close to the Kruger National Park and has a humid subtropical climate. This garden centre received the Small Garden Centre of the Year Award for 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Renier Boshoff will share some insights on how they reacted to the COVID-19 lockdown and regulations in their business with delegates:

Garden Pavilion Eckards

Garden Pavilion Eckards is located in Johannesburg (or Jozi) – the economic hub of South Africa. It has a subtropical highland climate with temperate dry winters and warm summers.

Winner of the Best in the Region Gauteng South for more than six years, this garden centre was also named Best Medium Garden Centre in 2020.

Wayne Stewart, owner of Garden Pavilion Eckards, will take you on a tour of the garden centre and share some history and business practices with you in the virtual tour:

Greener Tidings

Greener Tidings is situated in Polokwane with a semi-arid (steppe) climate that don’t have much rainfall during the year.

This garden centre has won Best in the Region Limpopo for a number of years and walked away with the award for Garden Centre of the Year in 2019.
