March 2015: Update from the IGCA Office

Vol. 7, Issue 1  |  March 2015

Update from the IGCA Office

By Julia Ricottone

Last month, the IGCA Board and Country Administrators met in Zurich, Switzerland for IGCA’s annual Administrator’s meeting.  From February 22-25, 2015, meetings took place, as well as a preview of what we can expect at the 2016 IGCA Congress.  23 people attended this meeting, which took us to Garden Centre Zulauf, Huplant, Guggenbuhl, Bacher, and Meier.  An amazing programme is set for your visit in 2016. Be sure to like the Congress Facebook Page to stay up to date – www.facebook.com/igcc2016

We also heard the latest from Denmark, where Congress organizers have been busy planning for your visit in August 2015.  We are happy to report that they have already met the minimum number of attendees they were hoping for, and the study tour is almost full.  If you are planning to attend the 2015 Congress in Denmark, be sure to register early.  If you register before March 31st, you will still receive the early bird rate.

As always, IGCA is keeping you informed through social media, including updates from our Switzerland meeting.  We hope to reach 1000 likes on Facebook this year, so please share our page with your garden centre friends – www.facebook.com/IGCAssociation.  We are also on twitter @IGCAssociation.
