Playing Games with the Spring

By Michal Ferenčík

This short, but funny title expresses the spring of 2015 in the Czech Republic. The winter was not really hard, but in the end was long. Cold weather stayed almost until the end of April, which caused a downturn on sales by most of the members of our group. The next period of the game started after that, in which we moved the plants inside the greenhouses to protect them against the morning frost. On the other hand, the days were more stable and through the season we got back what was lost in the beginning. The extra effort we invested into moving plants and protecting them are finally bearing fruit. Some of the members have seen really nice growth according to the last year’s numbers.

Now the season stopped due to this week’s temperature around 29 degrees. This season we again saw the growth in the herbs and fruit trees. Delegates from the Czech Republic are looking forward to visiting the Denmark Congress.
